Rehabilitative Classes (Monday to Sunday)


Ergotec offers several very specialised exercise classes that cover a range of abilities and needs. We pride ourselves in being able to offer an outstanding service, with all the classes being small and individual focused. We have maximum of 10 people in our biggest classes and the classes are designed and led by one of our multiple degree qualified, specialist team.

Pilates Class

Our Pilates programme is headed up by a Masters Physiotherapist, who excels in ensuring that the principles or core and hip stability are taught properly. It is with this biomechanical knowledge and experience that we can confidently differentiate ourselves from other instructors to bring about safe, effective and functional core training. The classes involve a wonderful balance of strengthening and lengthening of the whole body, while challenging each individual to a level that they can handle.

What can a Pilates Class do for me?

Pilates classes are a great way to relax and reduce the tensions of the muscles in your body. Using a system of specific exercises and special apparatus, which are designed to improve strength, flexibility and posture, and enhance  mental awareness; with a pilates class from Ergotec, you can develop an improved all round physical and mental health. Our classes are suitable for people of all abilities, and having worked with a number of clients throughout Belsize Park, and the surrounding areas we have developed a well known reputation.

The Difference Between Pilates and Yoga

One of the main difference between yoga and pilates is that yoga can be used for improving joints, whereas pilates focuses on trying to relax muscles which are tense and provide strengthening of numerous muscles throughout the body. As well as helping to develop and relax the body, pilates is a great way of creating a more stable and rested mind.

Ergotec Health Studios have people that visit us from Primrose Hill, Belsize Park, and Hampstead, who are quick to spread the word about our Pilates Classes.


Heart rate controlled, and scientifically focused, Ergotec’s spin classes are extremely popular. Clients leave the class having not only had a great cardiovascular work out that is specific to their training zones, but have also learned how to stabilize their hips properly, creating increased strength and power to ride more efficiently. Your instructor will also help identify specific individual weaknesses and encourage clients by giving them home exercises to do to correct imbalances thereby improving one’s performance while ensuring correct biomechanics are maintained.

Functional Core Class

This exciting new strength & conditioning class adaptable to all experience levels which combines the use of low impact resistance work, balance training and dynamic stretching with the aim to get you activating your core effectively whilst static and in motion. Using a range of equipment, we will work on movement quality to improve posture, flexibility and overall strength.

What can a Functional Core Class do for me?

Learning to control your core muscles in daily function is a great way to reduce the risk of injury and an effective way to alleviate the aches and pains commonly induced by daily life. Our core far exceeds the bounds of just our abs and by coming to terms with the vast array of muscles, and fundamentally how to recruit them, is crucial to making the most of your exercise routine.

We recommend clients who wish to see the full effects of this great new class to have a Functional Movement Screening (FMS), another great new assessment we offer our clients. This gives an objective measure of your current strength, flexibility and motor control with the view of repeating the screening after 8 weeks in the class to see just how much you have improved.

So, if you are seeking a new and inspiring way to challenge your body or you are just looking for a way to help relieve the stiff back; help yourself by getting your core working properly by joining our functional core class held each Monday at 18.30pm.

Other Rehabilitative Classes

Our team can also run the following classes:

  1. Back Rehab classes following back injury or for preventative measures to learn pelvic neutrality and control, core activation and functional stability.
  2. TRX classes for a fun body weight functional strength and stability challenge.
  3. Post-natal mums with their tots – a class geared at getting the mums back to strength following birth and teaching them exercises to do with & without their tots, to strengthen them to handle the physical demands of their ever growing babies.
  4. Seasonally we also run ski classes to prepare you for the slopes in winter; triathlon groups for those wanting a new seasonal challenge; and a Swimfit class which incorporates water polo skills in order to maximise fun while you get fit in the water. These classes are all focused on ensuring correct technique and mechanics and each class is adapted to the specific needs of the individuals in the group to ensure they maximise their training potential

Classes Cost £22 Per Hour For A Block Of 10 or £25 Per Hour On A Pay As You Go Basis.

If there are less than 3 clients per class, we will cancel the class and tell our clients.

Cancellations: All services are not charged as long as we are given at least 24 hours’ notice, otherwise full payment is required as per our terms.
Payment Details: Cheques: payable to “ERGOTEC HEALTH” please.
Card Payment: At the reception desk or by phone.
