FAQs

What should I wear to the session?

You should wear comfortable clothing like a loose top, tracksuit or shorts and trainers, whatever you move around in easily. Physiotherapists will need to be able to visually assess you in terms of movement and posture, as well as move different areas of your body, so these should be accessible and visible.

Will it hurt?

Some treatments can be uncomfortable but at no stage should it be really painful that you can’t cope with the discomfort. Your physiotherapist will provide clear guidelines on what to expect during and after treatment, as well as what is a normal reaction. Should you have any concern, feel free to contact our team today and speak to our physiotherapist team.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes you are more than welcome to bring someone else along to your treatment. It’s not a problem, whatever will help to make you feel more comfortable.

How many physiotherapy sessions will I need?

Your physiotherapy treatment is tailored to your specific and individual needs, so we can’t give you specifics in regards to how many sessions will be required. At your first appointment your physiotherapist will suggest the treatments that you need based on the assessment carried out.

Can I stop treatments at anytime?

Yes if you wish, you can stop your treatment at any time, we do recommend that you complete the planned treatment course as some as some effects are temporary and need repeated sessions to have a long term impact. If you feel that the treatment isn;t achieving the results you anticipate, feel free to discuss this with your physiotherapist and they may be able to offer you alternative treatments.

What do I do if physiotherapy isn’t helping?

If the treatment isn’t helping you, discuss these concerns with your physiotherapist who can go through your treatment progress. It may take some time to make improvements if you have suffered from an injury for a long period of time.
